This Ethiopian coffee is bright and comforting, with crisp apple acidity balanced by smooth caramel sweetness and a rich chocolate finish. Clean, well-rounded, and deeply satisfying, it’s a cup that feels both lively and indulgent.
The Benti Nenka processing site is located in the Hambela Wamena district of Ethiopia’s Guji Zone and is named after the kebele where the coffee is grown. The region’s high elevations of 1,900–2,250 meters above sea level and its community of roughly 700 smallholder farmers define the character of this coffee. Each farmer grows heirloom varieties on family-run plots averaging about 150 trees, with most farms producing just one to two 60 kg bags of green coffee annually.
