What you taste in our coffee comes from the earth and our roaster - a product of influence and letting be.
For us, roasting is not a process of automation, but of creativity and passion. Our process is slow and inefficient... for a reason.
We roast only organic coffee and search for those that bear additional sustainable certifications whenever possible. We pay premium prices for our beans. Quality and fairness is our motivation.
From dropping a batch of green coffee beans into our roaster, to scooping the just-roasted beans into our bags, our hands are involved in every step. We're a craft roaster and we choose not to compromise.
We're proud of our coffee and hope you enjoy drinking Portola coffee as much as we enjoy roasting it.
